Mentors, Why You Need One

A MENTOR
is defined as a wise and trusted  counselor or teacher. Or an influential senior sponsor or supporter.

If your a business man or women then great for you.  I have one question for you,  who is your mentor?
There are so many people to look up to for advice and to duplicate what they are doing to achieve their success.

Eric Worre, Steve Jobs, Robert Hollis, Bill and Cynthia Delany, Mel Roberts  and more.  There are a ton of people outbthere out there to follow and learn their secrets of success.

How To Choose A Mentor

Have you already choosen a mentor?   That’s great for you!  I’m so happy that you’ve found someone to look up to.

A good mentor should be someone in your business industry.  Wether you’re an entrepreneur,  working in the corporate world you need to find someone who has a proven track record of success.

They should have the skills, knowledge, and be willing to assist you with any questions or conserns that you have.

Great Mentors

Should have the same values that you do.  Honesty, Integrity,  Compassion, Empathy,  A Passion To Coach or Train You.

Is the person that you want to follow someone worth your time and investment in yourself?  If the person whom you choose to follow has all the qualities you are looking for in a mentor, then go for it!

Christmas, Big Whop!

So it’s Christmas once again.   Bah Humbug!

I know what you’re thinking. Why would she even write those words and on let alone on Christmas?
I write today because sometimes we need to step back and take a different way of looking at things.

Most of us are fortunate this year.  A warm home to live in, food on the table, presents were under the tree, family and loved ones gather around.  Least we forget about those that are having real life struggles.
No income, no way to finish paying their rent, no presents under the tree, little food to eat,  and yet they still smile because they are thankful for what they do have.

Yes it’s Christmas once again.  Time to celebrate a change in the seasons, the birth of Jesus Christ (which I have yet to find the original documentation to confirm this actual date) and family.

Making memories with the children, grandchildren, family and friends.  This year December 25, 2015 has been our (myself and my husband’s ) most challenging Christmas in thiry three years of marriage.

Although I  didn’t get  anything of material value but what I did get was another Christmas to see the smiles on the faces of my Grandchildren while they opened there gifts.

I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Welcome! REVAMPED!

Welcome to my blog.

Here you will find tips, encouragement and learn how to master your network marketing/MLM business .

We all struggle with getting leads.  How many people can one person talk to from their contact list, work list and whatever else list?

Let me help you become a success in your business!

12-23-15

Today as I look back on when I started this writing journey, I find myself thinking “Have I really written all of these articles “?

Yes, yes I have. My goal when I started this blog was to hopefully inspire my readers, to offer a different look at the way things are being done in the network marketing community.

Is there a standard?

I have been involved in the network marketing industry on and off for years. I’ve represented some companies that I’m sure you’re very aware of. Was I successful in these companies?
How is success defined? Was I able to sell the products, recruit others into the business?
While the companies I represented have been in the industry for a while now nothing ever clicked.

Everyone has basically the same thing. A product(s), a compensation plan, training and other perks. How can anyone become a professional in the business?

Work smarter than others, keep doing it until you achieve your goals. If it takes 10,000 hours to becomes great at something then maybe, just maybe we can achieve the success we seek in a shorter time if we work together.

Repurposing Content

Repurposing your content is easy.

For example;  I created this video earlier this year.   Now I am “repurposing” it to incorporate it into my blog post.

In this video I talk about comparing a double rainbow and business.   Be an example for other’s to follow,  make good on your promises to others.

Just because you write a blog, make a video, create a picture for Instagram doesn’t mean that it only can be used for that one purpose.

Creating  ContentWhat inspires you when your creating content for your social media?

Is it a picture, a quote, information to share?  Never be afraid to use the content that you’ve created in more than one place.

When do we become an expert on certain topics?
Does it take days, months even years?  I’ve been told that it takes 10,000 hours to perfect a craft.  That’s seven years.  I don’t want to take seven years.  I want to do it in less time than that!

Death Of A Holiday

Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years Eve and oh forget it!!

Too many holidays in one month! I find it harder and harder each year to send out cards, letters and make phone calls. When did it become necessary to make sure that we included every holiday into our belief system? I celebrate Christmas because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he came to earth, born as a baby (like we all were), raised as a man and that he suffered on the cross to save us from our sins so that we could be forgiven and enter into a personal relationship with Christ.

I celebrate the Winter Solstice as a way of thanking “Mother Nature” for giving us food from the earth to nourish our bodies.

I celebrate Haunnika because of my beliefs. To thank G_d that he performed a miracle of light from one oil can for eight days and nights.

The other holidays I either don’t celebrate nor do I understand them. Correction I celebrate New Years Eve.

I celebrate the chance at a new beginning, a new year to bring forth prosperity, health and wellness to my family and friends.

Death Of A Holiday could it be possible? Do we celebrate too many of them?

I leave that answer up to you.

Needs Verses Wants

Needs are not wants!

That’s what my mother always told me. I would say, “Mom I need that record”. She would say to me, ” No you really don’t. That is something that you want”.

What is a need? A need is things that we all need to survive. A roof over our head, food, money , companionship, love and health.

I could say, “I need a laptop and a printer, a lot more interested people who want to change the world through this amazing cutting edge technology breakthrough”. However these things are not actual needs. They are my wants, my hearts desires. I desire to have a laptop and printer to run my home business more efficiently. I desire people with the same mindset and values as myself whom want to change the world.

What is a want? A want is just that. You want something so you find a way to make it happen. I want to be debit free, have new home, see my children happy and my grandchildren healthy.

Wanting things are in the human nature. Needing certain things are a necessity in life. We all need food, a warm home to live in, an income to by the food, cook the food and heat the  said.

Whomever said, “Money doesn’t buy happiness” was a true moron! We all need money to live, it’s just that some people have more than others and they can do whatever they want.

You can have your needs meet and your wants can be turned into reality. Dream and dream big.

Enthusiasm!

IMG_20151207_080033

What are you enthusiasts about?

A new business opportunity, Monday night football, your family?   Whatever it is you want to run, jump up and down, yell it from the mountain tops; “Hey world look at this I’m so excited to share it with you”!

Enthusiasm in it’s true form is contagious.  If you really think about it the last time someone was so excited around you, you just had to know why?  Then as they proceeded to tell you, you began to get excited about the same thing.

Do you wake up with enthusiasm about the start of a new day?  Ready to takle on anything the day brings?  Or do you wake up feeling unexcited, gloomy and depressed about yiur your situation?

No matter what happens you’re bound to run into somebody with a contageous and exciting enthusiasm about something.

“Act enthusiastic,  and you’ll be enthusiastic “!

BEHIND!

Oh my gosh! I am so far behind today.

With things that happen in life it truly can make you put things into perspective. A family friend’s Dad recently passed away and we have been busy with offering comfort and help where needed.

In light of helping other people I have put some of my needs and “business” duties on the back burner.

For instance, I try to write my blog in the morning so I can complete the task on my daily method of operations. Today as you can see did not go as planned. Here it is 10:45pm, and I am trying tonwrite to write something meaningful to my readers.

Next, I had to decide if I should write a short blurb or a long page. I think today I’m doing good with just writing anything.

Lastly, My mind is racing a hundred miles an hour about all the things that I have to get done this week. Where do I start? How do I get things done inspite of the fact that life happens?

There is no easy answer to this thing called life. We wake up each day with a fire in our belly, ready to tackle the days challenges. It’s up to each of us how we handle the obsticals that come our way. And if we get behind in our goals, then we can push forward to get things done in a timely manner.

Behind I maybe today, tonight but tomorrow is a new day to face new challenges.

30 Day Challenges

wp-1449258723277.jpegHave you ever done a 30 day challenge?

I recently was researching online about 30 day challenges and found that most of the top challenges are about weight loss or weight management.
There are so many topics that a person can choose from. Blogging, eating, weight loss, sex, fashion and more. Do they really work? It’s said that it takes 30 days to change a bad behavior or to get into “the habit” of doing something different.

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/510487

James Clear writes in his article titled; “How Long Does It Actually Take to Form a New Habit “. He states “that how society started spreading the common myth it takes 21 days to form a new habit (or 30 days or some other magic number).”

What is the correct number?
On average, it takes more than two months before a new behavior becomes automatic. It takes ….. 66 days to be exact! Habits can be easily formed but don’t limit yourself to a certain time frame.
Each of us have our own way of doing things, and what may take me 30 days may take someone else 15 or 60.

Secondly, you are unique in every way. You strivefor perfection and sometimes you obtain it, and other times you don’t. Don’t treat a failure as a failure. Instead treat it as an accomplishment with needing a better outcome, next time.

Thirdly, make yourself a guideling or chart to go by. Visualeffects can stimulate your mind and get you going into the right direction.

In close, at the end of the day you are responsible for yourself. How you progress is up to you. Before ending the day can you be happy with what you’ve accomplished in your challenge?

Challenge comes in many forms in a daily basis. It’s how we choose to carry out the good or bad behaviors that help us beome the overcomer.
