Raise The Bar Of Your Posts With Pictures

I am a member and expert author on the PAC Community Blog.  This was my post for them.

From the Editor,

This is Alicia’s first published article on the PAC Community Blog! After many drafts we finally have a finished post. What’s important to note here is PAC helps new bloggers, as well as seasoned ones, to hone their blogging skills. Writing is a big one to master – if it ever is. It’s an ongoing skill that is constantly revisited and explored. PAC gives new bloggers, like Alicia, the opportunity to enhance their writing skills, experience as a blogger and what’s involved, and writing for the PAC Community Blog.  We all start somewhere and we only get better at what we do through experience. Congratulations Alicia!  We look forward to more posts from you!

A  picture is worth a thousand words …

We’ve all heard that saying before.  However, is it true when it comes to writing your blog?

Pictures tell stories …

Images bring a certain essence to what the writer is trying to convey to their readers.

Articles with images get 94% more views.  Visual stimulation grabs the reader’s attention and draws them into the article.  A large percentage of the brain is dedicated to visual processing.  When we see a picture we analyze it within a very short period of time, knowing the meaning and scenario within it immediately.

Five Reasons to Consider Using Pictures

  1. Pictures grab the reader’s attention and helps them commit to reading the content.
  2. Rests the eyes from reading.
  3. Gives your readers a memorable experience.
  4. Images communicate information to readers faster than words.
  5. Images add VALUE!  They add valuable SEO (search engine optimization) traffic to your site because the images displayed in search results relate to the images within your blog post.

SEO  (Search Engine Optimization), is the process of generating traffic through keyword searches by people seeking a particular topic.

Images are easy to find and use. Using your own images are best because of copyright laws.  Obtaining images for your site gives that personal touch and flare to your website.

5 Sites For Picture Images

Flickr  this site is owned by Yahoo.com. Flickr offers 1,000 GB of free photo storage.  They will help you automatically backup your entire collection.

PicsArt  allows you the ability to edit photos, share and store them.

Free images  provides over 2.4 billion pictures you can use (some you can use for a small fee.

Public Domain  (PublicDomainPictures.net) is a repository for free public domain images. Download high quality – HD photos or upload your own. Make money from your hobby, gain popularity and improve your photographic and graphic skills.

Lastly you can always use Google Search Engine  . Just be careful as you search not to use copyrighted pictures without permission.

PicsArt is a great application to use for editing and adding quotes and your own signature to your images. It’s easy and convenient for you to use.

Some audiences prefer to view written content then visual images. Some audiences are interested in more visual images then written content, and that’s okay.

Both styles assist the reader in offering both quality and value. Work on improving your skills, and don’t be afraid to get help from an outside professional who can give your blog the extra sprucing up it lacks.  What is the goal that you’re trying to achieve with your audience?

There are many ways to engage with your readers. Images and writing – the most valuable type of content driving marketers to use.

Imagine  the photographs in your mind, then search for the right one which will add meaning to your article.  Colorful photographs such as red, yellow,  purple draw more attention to your readers eyes.

Be creative

Don’t be afraid to let your creativity flow in your posting and keep the images coming.
