5 Daily Methods Of Operation

image

If you’re and entrepreneur then you probably already have a DMO  (Daily Method Of Operation ). Every successful person either in business, or entrepreneurship tells me they us a daily method of operations.

Five  things I found to be very effective and they are easy enough that anyone can use them.  These simple steps will help you to obtain the level of success once you apply them into your daily routine.

Personal Development —  Having a POSITIVE mental attitude changes the way we think as a leader or an entrepreneur;  which in turn leads to change for success.  With so many ways to grab information no one can make the excuse that they don’t have time to do this.

Meditation and Exercise —  Spend at least 15 minutes a day meditating on scriptures,  a quick go to encouragement pocket book.  Exercise daily to increase your body, mind and spirit.  Exercising opens up the mind and make entrepreneurs get their creative juices flowing.  Personally I find Pilates very relaxing and it works my abs off.

Sharing  — Share your business opportunity with at least 10 new people or at the bare minimum 5 people to start building relationships and trust with. Make this a quick less than 2 minute introduction and ask them if they’re interested in watch a video,  listening to a CD, Podcast or by whatever tools you can get in front of them within the a few days.

Creating Content  —  Create content people will want to read, look at and become interested in.  Social media can work to your advantage.   Learn how to leverage the time you spend on Facebook,  Twitter, Instagram, Google+,  LinkedIn and whatever other social outlet you’re using.

The Artistic Affiliate otherwise known as Lesly Federici, RN has many helpful tips for creating content. In her article titled, 5 Creative Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back she shares many ways to make visitors “think outside the box”.   Landing pages, funnels, custom sidebars, and widgets to name a few.

Sales and Marketing Training  —  Essential to any business growth is marketing and sales.   Sales equal income in the pocketbook!!  Marketing drives interest and curiosity which leads to SALES!

The road to success takes time and it takes one step at a time to achieve the end result.

Gaining My Barrings For A Great December

December 2019 is upon us. The end of another decade and the beginning of new things.

This time of year really can throw some people into a state of panick and anxiety. Worrying about where to buy gifts, what to get for that speacial someone and money, money, money.

This year I want to challenge everyone reading this to have a better December this year then in years past.

Planning

Recently I found an article by Marelisa Fábrega, owner of “Daring to Live Fully” titled; How To Have An Organized Christmas – Create A December Planner.

Usually my calendar is full of events, deadlines, birthdays and more. Planner? I’ve never kept a planner for being organized. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

With today’s technology everything is in my phone or tablet and written on my main calendar at home.

When I start out the month the first thing I do is add birthday celebrations. My husbands is on December third, then my youngest grandsons is on the twenty-seventh.

Next thing on my list decorating for Christmas. Seems stupid I know; however I’d rather plan to do it early then realize later I forgot to do it at all.

Between working a full time job, writing, taking care of my husband, and all the other things I must do planning works!

Organization

Baking, shopping, parties and the list goes on. Along with planning out my month, the need for being organized screams out at me.

My husband is always on me about mt list. “Where’s your list at”? He asks as we are walking down an isle. I used to smile and tell him; “Don’t worry it’s right here” while pointing to my head. Of course after we’ve gotten home, it’s then I realize what I’d forgotten.

Now if I don’t make either a paper list or use a handy mobile application like Cool Memo and To Do Tasks.

Self ❤ Care

Always make time for yourself! Even if it’s drinking coffee in your favorite Christmas mug, getting your nails or hair done at the salon. Make time for you!

Afterall if you are not grounded yourself know one would get through December much less all the holidays it includes.

Rewards

Make a Rewards Bucket List. As you’re accomplishing tasks throw in a reward for yourself. Maybe a “movie day with the kids” or “date night with your honey”.

Reward lists are alot like a bucket list. Cross off each one as you go.

Finally

Enjoy time with your family. Be happy, loving, caring and most of all thankful to have those you love around you.

Have a great December!

Three Ways To Making Winning Connections

Your business is built on networking and connecting with the right people.

Network marketing events are a great way to connect with other like minded people. However just handing out a business card and hoping to get results is not going to get you very far.

First

One must decide what it is they want to achieve from meeting new people. For example, if you are in a health and wellness company and are looking for new people to join your organization, then it would benefit you to go to meetings about nutrition and fitness.

Second

Developing personal relationships is the greatest key factor to making a winning connection.

Recently I read an article by Martin Zwillining titled 5 Stratagies For Making Winning Business Connections he states, “Learn to work with people and build strong relationships “.

Building relationships helps others to trust in you. Trust in your belief system and your company.

Third

1. Write down your goals.

2. A great source I’ve used is the website meetup .com. Just plug in your area and what your interested in and a whole list of meetings will come up.

3. Be open minded. Connections can come from anywhere if you are looking in the right places.

I’ve found being friendly to others, showing caring, being concerned about another person helps make that connection work.

Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Happy Anniversary To My Blog

I can’t believe it’s been three years since I started getting more serious with my blog.

As I look back to some previous articles I think “What was I thinking”?

Example my third post titled, Why Do I Work From Home I wrote because I was hoping to start up in an MLM company and be able to stay working at home.

I loved the freedom to do what I wanted when I wanted. However a greater being had other plans for me.

I believe now that not everyone is meant to be in a network marketing company and be a top performer. Okay I hear the doubters and the I told you so’s screaming and laughing at me.

It takes alot to get people involved in your home business. To buy the product your selling and trying to recruit others below you to actually make decent money.

Yes I still believe in network marketing. However it just hasn’t been working out for me. Oh I can hear it all now.. Did you do this and that? Yes and yes!!!

Three year doesn’t seem like that long ago. I thought I just started yesterday ha ha ha.

Happy reading!

Accepting The Loss Of A Job, And How To Move Forward

Anger, denial, depression and frustration doesn’t even begin to explain emotions when a person is suddenly let go from their job.

When your first hired emotions run high.   Excitement, joy, scared, are just some of the emotions you can feel when taking on a new challenge in your career.

How do I know this?

Because after a four year hiatus from my chosen career path as a Respiratory Therapist I landed what I thought was going to be the perfect job.   I was so elated with joy.  Suddenly changes started to happen.  Don’t get me wrong here, I’m all for changes as long as their for the betterment of the company and they don’t compromise patient care.

Then it happened.  Due to just one person and their management role the   staff became on edge, the constant yelling, nasty remarks, even acting racist towards certain professions and people in the office.

People loose jobs all the time.  The worst time is right before Christmas.  I was called into the office sat down and heard those words; “Sorry but we have to let you go. Understand that it’s best for business”.

Emotions started swelling up inside.  Angry oh yes I was angry.  Angry that I had taken on this responsibility to essentially clean up a failed department.  Trying to regain patients truat after the last therapist had mistreated so many patients.

What effected me the most was being lied to for months to my face, until they finally pulled out the rug from underneath my feet. Disgusted at the fact that this person whom the owners had put in charge and were trusting with their business, was actually the one who is hurting it.  Customers had complained,  even the reviews on yelp.com  proved my point.

Getting Back On Track

Oh wow sorry I really got of subject there, didn’t I?

After much searching,  praying, yelling,  depression and crying I finally realized I need to let this go.  Let go of the anger and resentment towards the owners and their deceitful ways.   Let go of seeking revenge towards her racial attitude and obnoxious behavior.

How Do You Let Go?

Researching the world wide web I found this great article written by J. T. O’Donnell  titled There Are 5 Stages Of Job Loss Depression.

Learning To Accept The Loss

Accepting a job as a loss? Yes just like the loss of a loved one we must accept their gone.  Taken away unexpectedly from this earth.  My favorite part in this article,

  • Objectivity: You can state the facts without adding emotional commentary.
  • Accountability: You can take ownership of your role in what lead to your job loss.

Accepting loosing my job that’s the hardest part.  No real reasons given,  not one performance evaluation in the sixteen months I spent there.

    Moving Forward

Choosing to stay in the past or move ahead is up to each individual person.  It’s the thought of looking for a job, the interview process and explaining over and over again why you want to work for them.

I changed my focus from being angry and hurt to finding a new beginning which will allow me to use my talents in the best way possible to make a difference.

Focusing on the positive aspects of this chapter in life isn’t easy for some.  Especially when you have a spouse who has been ill for a while and is relying on you to be the strong one.

    Looking For Opportunity

Looking for that new job opportunity can be challenging and exciting at the same time.

When and where does one find opportunity? I’m told there all around us and that we just have to keep looking.

As always I welcome your comments.

    Happy New Year 2018

Last year was such a challenging year for me, both personally and professionally.

I’m so ready to move onto the new ventures of success in 2018.

    Finding Purpose

After a four year absence from my chosen profession of Respiratory Therapy,  I thought I had found my way back into it for good.  That was until I lost my job right before Christmas.

Now faced with another challenge of looking for another way of bringing in income.   In my article titled,  multiple streams of income I make two very good points about having both a residual income and leveraged income.

Feeling like I’m back to square one is not my choice.  I’ve been in several network marketing companies over the years and I still struggle.

I wrote my book, Terror In The North Tower my dream was to become a number one best selling author.  Well my book is moving; however not as fast as I’d like it to.

Trying To Keep A Positive Attitude

    Attitude is everything!

I’m choosing to be positive,  upbeat and claiming abundance for 2018.

Yes I am starting over.  Finding a new purpose is the challenge.  I’m sure as I release all negativity and toxic things from 2017 great things are left to follow.

    Happy Happy New Year

Why I Started Writing A Bolg

I don’t claim to be a professional blogger.  But then what is a professional blogger?

I found an interesting article by professional blogger John Saddington titled The Definition of a ‘Professional Blogger’ or ‘Full Time Blogger’ In this post he explains a few different viewpoints.

There are a number of differing viewpoints and not one of them is necessarily incorrect; in fact, anyone has the full right to call themselves a ‘Full Time Blogger‘ or ‘Professional Blogger’ regardless of any outside opinion. But, there seems to be an understanding, both cultural and nuanced, about what it means to be ‘Pro.’

Just think about it for a moment, especially as it relates to professions and jobs in other areas – What do you think of when you say that so and so is a Professional? You probably assume a number of things, right?

I started my blog a few years ago just to voice my opinion about things going on in my life I am passionate about.   Learning how to fine tune, hone in, really dig deeper into the fine art of blogging came from meeting Lesly Federici owner and expert author of The Power Affiliate Club.  The PAC is a community of bloggers helping each other and offering advice.

I needed to have a voice

Writing my thoughts down and sharing with my readers gives me joy.  Mind you not all comments I receive are nice and thank you’s.  However for the most part people get interested and comment back.  Having your followers comment on any posted article is an honor.  I must be doing something right.

When I first started out my posts were short, not alot allot to read and I didn’t really post many images.   My  very first blog article Creating Your Brand looks absolutely pathetic now.

What was the point I was trying to convey to anyone?

How do you create more leads, more people to talk to when you’ve gone through your list and heard all the excuses and all the “NO’s” so many times?

Create a brand for yourself. What ??? What I mean is one must be willing to create a brand of themselves on the internet to attract the people they want into their business.”

That’s the jest of it.  No instructions given, no real helpful advice.   Not so much as even a link to another resource for help.

    My main goal

For you , my readers to like what you’re reading and hopefully learn something new along the way.

My personal goal is to continue growing and learning about ways to improve my writing as well as my mindset for success.

I hope you found this enlightening and as always,

     Opportunities Are Always There

Searching for opportunities to make our lives better seems to be an ongoing thing.

Improving one’s health and wealth are the two biggest ones I see people searching the world wide web for.

Ideas happen everyday.  Benjamin Franklin invented many useful tools we use today.   How did those opportunities start?  A vision for a brighter future lead to the inventions we all use today.

Has someone approached you about having a home business and you pop pooed the idea?

Opportunity just knocked at your door!  It was screaming at you “Let me in!”

Was this your last chance to change the world? Make your finances better, improve your health,  spend more time with your family,  finally get free from having a traditional job?

Which by the way stands for “Just Over Broke”.

I can’t answer those questions for you.  Only You can.

Go out and sieze the day.   Make a difference in your life and someone else’s.

If and when a next opportunity knocks at your door take a serious look and listen to your intuition.  It may just be what you’ve been looking for.
