My Top 5 Gifts For Mother’s Day

You’re probably thinking to yourself, “Why is she doing an article about this in February”? If you think about it May is not that far off.

Throw pillows make great gifts. Mom can place it on the couch, her bed, heck even in the car as a pillow to sit on.

Now you can design your mom a family keepsake with all the names of her children on it. Truly a gift she will cherish for a lifetime.

Price range is anywhere from $15.00 to $30.00. Click here to grab your 10% off today.

Pictures make a great keepsake. Does your mother still have photographs in a shoe box? Thousands of pictures stuck in her computer or laptop? Digital Photo Frames are so easy and convenient to show those beloved pictures.

BestReviews.Guide picks the top ten of an item you’re looking for, pulls up a review for comparison along with each website to order from. Most digital photo frames run anywhere from $30.00 and up. Surprise her this year with a couple to put in every room.

Are you considering making her a brunch? Check out this do it yourself video with quick tips that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Something I always wanted was a Keurig coffee maker. For three years I kept giving my family hints. “Hey did you see that commercial for the Keurig coffee maker? That sure would be great to have since most of you are out of the house now”.

Well two years ago while my husband and I were out and about we stopped at a garage sale. Low and behold, there it was an older Keurig for only $20.00. I couldn’t believe it. A little $20.00 bill for a machine that cost over $60.00. My husband jumped on it and we brought it home. Yes it still works.

If mom entertains a lot then the newest K-Duo Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker features a dual system making a perfect pot of delicious coffee, or she can enjoy a single cup of her favorite hot tea beverage or coffee pod.

You can find them on sale at Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and all major retail stores.

Pricing ranges from $120.00 up to $150.00. Sales should be coming out so keep an eye out for your favorite store sales.

My fifth and final choice is the Instapot.

Did you know there are over eleven different machines? My daughter received one for Christmas from her family and she just raves about it. “Mom I made a frozen whole chicken in 40 minutes”. Impressive to say the least.

Price ranges anywhere from $79.99 up to $179.00.

Hand made gifts of macaroni necklaces and bracelets, finger painted hand prints, poems written out of love and more. No matter what gift you bestow upon her, your Mother deserves the very best.

Wowza where did January go? I promised myself that I would commit to writing more this year.

One article in January is not going to get it done. Excuses! Yes I have plenty of those.

3 New Techniques To Spruce Up Your Blog

Weather we like it or not Spring is here. Oh sure it’s snowing right now here in Aurora, CO but that doesn’t change the fact that Spring it here.

When one thinks of Spring it usually means cleaning up inside your home. Dusting, vacuuming and a good deep sprucing up. What’s the purpose? I believe it’s to throw out the winter blues and bring in the sweet smeels and sounds of the new season.

Which lead me to thinking how do I spruce up my blog?

First

Scroll through your blog post see if there are some older ones that you may want to delete. As I looked back I found one or two and I was bewildered at how I came to write them.

Secondly

Repurpose your articles. On December 19, 2015 I wrote this article on how to repurpose your content. It’s really not as hard as you maybe thinking.

Some of the best tips for bloggers come from my fellow Power Affiliate Club Authors. Check us out see how we can help you.

Still scared to repurpose your content?

Go ahead try it, you will be amazed at your self and what you can accomplish.

Lastly

Enter a blogging challenge, increase your vocabulary, use images in your articles. Images help raise the bar of your posts.

Comment on others posts, this will increase traffic to your site as well.

Hope these tips helped you out.

As always,

Why I Started Writing A Bolg

I don’t claim to be a professional blogger.  But then what is a professional blogger?

I found an interesting article by professional blogger John Saddington titled The Definition of a ‘Professional Blogger’ or ‘Full Time Blogger’ In this post he explains a few different viewpoints.

There are a number of differing viewpoints and not one of them is necessarily incorrect; in fact, anyone has the full right to call themselves a ‘Full Time Blogger‘ or ‘Professional Blogger’ regardless of any outside opinion. But, there seems to be an understanding, both cultural and nuanced, about what it means to be ‘Pro.’

Just think about it for a moment, especially as it relates to professions and jobs in other areas – What do you think of when you say that so and so is a Professional? You probably assume a number of things, right?

I started my blog a few years ago just to voice my opinion about things going on in my life I am passionate about.   Learning how to fine tune, hone in, really dig deeper into the fine art of blogging came from meeting Lesly Federici owner and expert author of The Power Affiliate Club.  The PAC is a community of bloggers helping each other and offering advice.

I needed to have a voice

Writing my thoughts down and sharing with my readers gives me joy.  Mind you not all comments I receive are nice and thank you’s.  However for the most part people get interested and comment back.  Having your followers comment on any posted article is an honor.  I must be doing something right.

When I first started out my posts were short, not alot allot to read and I didn’t really post many images.   My  very first blog article Creating Your Brand looks absolutely pathetic now.

What was the point I was trying to convey to anyone?

How do you create more leads, more people to talk to when you’ve gone through your list and heard all the excuses and all the “NO’s” so many times?

Create a brand for yourself. What ??? What I mean is one must be willing to create a brand of themselves on the internet to attract the people they want into their business.”

That’s the jest of it.  No instructions given, no real helpful advice.   Not so much as even a link to another resource for help.

My main goal

For you , my readers to like what you’re reading and hopefully learn something new along the way.

My personal goal is to continue growing and learning about ways to improve my writing as well as my mindset for success.

I hope you found this enlightening and as always,

Gain The Advantage.

For A Single Moment We Forgot Hate

On August 21, 2017 something amazing happened.

Most of you are probably aware that there was a phenomena in the sky called a sloar eclipse.  The solar eclipse encapsulated the United States of America and the world for a few shinning moments.

When I saw this meme on Facebook posted by Damien Von Dunn I knew it spoke volumes.

Frederick R Barnard first wrote the phrase, ” One look is worth a thousand words“, in Printer’s Ink, December 1921.”

If one look is worth a thousand words then I found a picture worth a million.

Where were you during the solar eclipse?

Many people traveled across the country to catch a glimpse of totality while other’s stayed home, went to work or school.

Where was I?   I was at work in my office.  However one of my colleges brought in a pair of glasses to share with anyone who wanted to take a peek.   If you missed it click this link to see NASA’s Solar Eclipse Photos.

And for a single moment, our nation stopped, and looked up at the sky and forgot about hate

Lately I’ve been ashamed of the ugliness, hatred and bigotry gripping the United States of America.   What has happened to getting along with each other? Settling our differences in a calm and collective manner?

I’m not going to get on a soapbox here, however I am disgusted at the actions some people choose to participate in this past weekend.

Can we just all get along?

Where is the love?

Has love escaped us?  Has common sense left the world? Every man, women and child should be reaching deep into their hearts, finding the love, pulling it out and spreading it around.

Enough with wars, violence and hate.   Waylon Jennings said it best when he sang “Let’s get back to the basics of love”.

So another eclipse has come and gone.  The world stood silent in amazement for just a few moments in time forgetting all it’s cares and worries to bring peace.  I wonder when soldiers are fighting in war and on Christmas Eve if at one point they stop everything and listen for the peace?

I hope you found this inspiring and as always I welcome your feedback.
